Book of Creation

Here is a look at the two page spread I was given in Oracom's seasonal Book of Creation. The book is only sold in France but you can order a copy online from Oracom's site. It has a great selection of artists and minimal written content so you don't need to speak French to get your money's worth.

Visible World was recently featured in Advanced Photoshop 88 as a two page spread. It was part of the How I Made series which gives a brief insight into the process behind the featured image. If you would like to lear more about how this image was created be sure to check it out.

The following image was created for the 2011 Designers Against Child Slavery Exhibition which took place in NYC this past October. Below you can see photos from the event which I attended on Saturday October 1st 2011. The image I am happy to say was a great success at the event and on top of that was also featured in a number of magazines including Advanced Photoshop and Digital Arts Magazine.

DACS X The Blind Project \\ NYC gallery Exhibition Saturday, October 01, 2011 at 7:00 PM (ET)New York, NY

After a year of work, DACS is excited to announce the release of its second exhibition entitled "Episodes". Over the course of 12 months, artists around the world were challenged to create pieces of art based around the idea of a trafficking victim's journey. DACS simplified this journey down to three episodes: Coercion, Enslavement, and Restoration. DACS asked artists to create a piece centered around one of those three episodes. The end result was a beautiful body of work which, when aranged in chronological order, esentially tells the story of a sex trafficking victim.

The Blind Project, together with DACS, is excited to showcase this dynamic gallery of work from artists all over the globe. On October 1st, come out for a night full of art work, a fashion show, live music, and an open bar! All of the artwork is up for silent auction and 100% of the profit goes to The Blind Project's work in Bangkok.

The Blind Project will also be showing off their new Initiative "Biogrpahe Blanks". Biographe will be presented with a runway showing of garments to be produced by survivors of the commerical sex-trade. The Biographe line exists to generate resources and opportunities for the restoration and rehibilitation of those women.

Tickets are on sale now so don't miss out! The first 150 people through the door will receive a limited edition Biographe Beta T-shirt printed in the Biographe Lab in Bangkok, Thailand! (*Sizes and quantities are limited).

My piece Nostalgia for the Infinite will be appearing this November in Ballistic Press's Exotique 7. I am very excited and humbled to have been chosen for inclusion in this very prestigious publication. Here is a sneak preview of New Era, a book being released at this year's OFFF (Online Flash Film Festival). The book will feature twenty one amazing new works from slashTHREE artists (one of which is mine) as well as a selection of some of our favorite works from years past. I will be sure to update on this soon for everyone who won't be able to make it to Barcelona for the festival this year.

A few days ago I received my copy of Creation Photo a photoshop magazine published exclusively in France. In this, the sixth issue, my image Odd Blood is featured on the cover and I am given an in depth interview.

Enemy Mine was such a big hit with the editors at Advanced Photoshop that they invited me to create a new tutorial based on it. The new image which I have dubbed Enemy Mine 2.0 uses a similar background stock but relies much more heavily on digital painting techniques. Check out the latest issue of Advanced Photoshop to get all the details!

Below you can see my latest image created for Digital Arts magazine. The image first appeared in the January issue along with a five page tutorial in which I discussed the essential steps to balancing complex abstract images. The tutorial is now free online at the Digital Arts websites and has been featured in many places across the web.

A couple of weeks ago I received a complimentary copy of Best Digital Brushes a book published by Peachpit Press which deals exclusively with Photoshop brushes. The book features an older piece of mine titled Last Last Chance. This piece was only in my portfolio for a short time which is a shame because looking back, I am still really proud of it. It is my first fully painted image and definitely represents the direction my work is headed.

Recently received my copy of Digital Photo Photoshop which features a six page tutorial I wrote for the image "For a Coming Extinction."  This issue was only sold in Germany but for all you non-German viewers, I will have a new tutorial coming out next month in the UK and the following month in the US. Also look for new works to hit this site in early January. Hope everyone has a great end to 2010!

Finally received my copy of the Digital Arts November issue. I was very fortunate to have my work featured on the cover of this issue as well as headlining the interview of collage artists. This item is on shelves now in the US and will run until January. Hope everyone has a great holiday season!
